What happens on the day of my surgery?
In this video, Valerie describes the sequence of events that take place on the day of surgery, step-by-step.
On your surgery day, I will greet you on arrival before briefly reviewing the steps to follow. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.
Then, Dr. Chotiner will see you in an exam room before taking you back to the LASIK suite, where you will be prepped for surgery.
You can expect to be in the LASIK suite for approximately 30 minutes. The procedure itself will take only 15 minutes.
Upon surgery completion, I will go over your post-operative instructions, and then you’re ready to go home.
As a result of the mild sedation, you receive before your procedure, you will need a driver to take you home.
We also recommend you bring a family member or a friend with you. If they’d like to, they can even watch your procedure on a large video monitor.
Find out if you are suitable for vision correction and book your free appointment using our online scheduler. Or, if you’d prefer, you can give us a call.
If you’re serious about clear vision and reducing or eliminating your dependence on corrective eyewear, then this is the ideal next step.
Not only will it give you the certainty you need regarding the best treatment for you, but it’s also entirely free.
